What is a Skills Bootcamp?
GAIN Training is proud to be part of the Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington strategy plan to deliver a sustainable, healthy, inclusive and growing economy for its local employers and residents.
Skills Bootcamps are training programmes funded by the Governments Skills for Life Gaurantee helping everyone gain Skills for Life.
Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington have been awarded over £2 million from the Department of Education to deliver Skills Bootcamps to Cheshire and Warrington employers and residents.
Our Skills Bootcamps at GAIN Training are delivered over 16 weeks through a flexible combination of short practical, theory and site based delivery sessions totalling no more than 60 hours to enable those working in construction to develop their role, responsibilties, career and earning potential with minimum disruption to their working week.
Our Skills Bootcamps are aligned to Industry recognisedlevel 2 and level 3 qualifications to enable learners to complete associated NVQs.

Who is Eligible?
Aged 19 or over
Have the right to work in tfhe UK
Be a UK resident for 3 or more years.
Costs
All Skills Bootcamps are funded under the Skills for Life UK Government initiative with no cost to you as a learner.
Employers make a contribution to the cost of training if they want to use a Skills Bootcamp programme to train/ upskill exisiting employees.
Small and Medium employers contribute no more than 10% of the cost of the programme.

LEVEL 3 UPSKILL OCCUPATIONAL WORK SUPERVISION
LEVEL 3 RETROFIT EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION
The Skills Bootcamp in Retrofit External Wall Insulation (EWI) enables experienced construction workers to compete for the best jobs and contracts in the growing and much in demand GreenSkills and RetroFit sectors.
Working to Level 3 standards the programme looks at the methods, resources and materials required for Retrofit thermal upgrade projects and GreenSkill contract requirements, considering how these affect the performance of a building and help ensure the most appropriate solutions for retrofit projects.
The Skills Bootcamp in RetroFit External Wall Insulation allows you to gain and show the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to complete the NVQ Level 3 in Insulation and Building Treatments -EWI.
Completion of a Level 3 NVQ will enable you to be eligible for the CSCS Gold Card.
LEVEL 3 UPSKILL PLASTERING OCCUPATIONS
The Skills Bootcamp in Level 3 Upskilling Plastering aims to let you compete for the best jobs and contracts to progress your career, business and earning potential.
Working to level 3 standards this Skills Bootcamp enables you to recognise and use the techniques, materials and resources and most appropriate plastering solutions for a range of advanced plastering projects, specifications and objectives.
The Skills Bootcamp in Upskilling Plastering allows you to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to complete the NVQ level 3 in plastering.
Completion of a Level 3 NVQ will enable you to be eligible for the CSCS Gold Card.
The Skills Bootcamp in Upskilling Occupational work supervision enables experienced construction workers to progress into a supervisory role in construction and their trade role.
Covering areas such as: responsibilties and opportunities for improving health and safety in the work area; methods and procedures to organise and co-ordinate a project within a team and the techniques and attributes required to maintain effective working relationships, the Skills Bootcamp in Upskilling Occupational work supervision allows you to gain and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to complete the NVQ Level 3 in Occupational work supervision.
Completion of a Level 3 NVQ will enable you to be eligible for the CSCS Gold Card.
